Facebook fixes the market – everyone is holding fast hoping that the Facebook symbol FB IPO Saves the market place.

At 10:30 today the first distribution of Facebook stock will be distributed to those buyers that arranged to pick up shares through their brokers. By 10:45 the Facebook shares will be trading on the NASDAQ.  Mark Zuckerberg rang the NASDAQ bell this am.  The market expecting some enthusiasm by Hedge funds and retirement funds is seeing this as the turning point in the market after its past 2 weeks of negative returns.  Let’s take a look at what the S&P500 emini futures market showed us for a range this past evening.

Facebook is not saving the market – it might be giving traders a breather.

In the overnight the S&P500 saw the European market test the 1300 psychological support and then get rejected to stay above 1300.  The markets are floating above the 1300 support but is clearly in the bear channel.

Trade what you see and never listen to the so called experts. If you can’t see the direction of the market and don’t understand how to use a stop, then don’t trade. Never take stock tips, and if it is on the TV as a hot pick, it is too late.
